ABOUT MARK BOOYSEN

I am a photographer and nature enthusiast based along the West Coast of South Africa, in the coastal town of Langebaan. Photography has such a hold on me - it inspires exploration, draws me into nature, and leads me to places that take my breath away - I hope it never lets go!

For me, an image is more than perfect composition or technical precision. It is about the story behind the frame, the emotion it evokes, and the journey it represents. This is what brings me joy and fuels my creative spirit. Through my work, I aim to share not only the beauty of the natural world but also the deeper connection and meaning that each photograph carries.

I’ve recently launched a YouTube channel where I share safari-related videos of our adventures into the South African bush, especially the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park, as we track down the legendary black-maned Kalahari lion.
